Types of Donations:

​

Lillah is any form of charity given purely for the sake of Allah SWT. This option is most commonly donated to an institution such as a Masjid or Madrasah.

Sadaqah is the most common form of charity. This type of donation is usually dedicated to an individual such as Hifdh sponsorship, water wells, livelihood projects etc. 

​

Zakat is a compulsory form of charity given once a year. These donations are used for individuals. They are either given in monetary form or used for projects where there is an ownership of the beneficiary.

Sadaqatul Fitr is an obligatory charity for every Muslim who is eligible to pay and it must be paid before Eid-ul-Fitr. This donation is given to the poor so they can celebrate Eid too.
